Suzuki Violin Lessons

Sean is an association-certified violin instructor of the Suzuki Method in Books 1-3. This method is a series of books containing pieces carefully chosen to provide a complete progression in violin technique, and to encourage a love and appreciation for a variety of music. Supplemental study in lessons includes sight-reading, scales, and rhythmic training. Lessons can begin for students of any age, as early as 2 years old.

Lessons are taught once per week at a regularly scheduled time. 30, 45, or 60-minute lesson slots are offered. Tuition is paid monthly, at or before the first lesson of each month. For additional information on tuition rates and other policies, refer to the Studio Policies Page.

Suzuki Method & Philosophy

The Suzuki Method is based upon a philosophy that every student can learn the violin, and learn it well. We believe that what we see as "talent" is not a mysterious gift that is received by chance, but something that, through careful study, can be taught and earned. Shinichi Suzuki came to realize that we learn a musical instrument in largely the same way that we learn our first language. The Suzuki Method uses these fundamental ideas and more, populating a world of musicians with a deep love for art and learning. Much more information can be found at The Suzuki Association Website.
