Sean Klopfenstein is a violinist and teacher based in Brooklyn, New York. Having earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University, Sean specializes in a study of the violin that is steeped in long-standing Western classical traditions, in harmony with a popular Eastern teaching philosophy. He can be seen as an ensemble performer with organizations such as the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic, Lancaster Festival Orchestra, New Haven Symphony, and New World Symphony. Since the age of four, Sean has been immersed in the Suzuki method, studying for twelve years at Suzuki Music Columbus, and later attaining several teacher certifications from the Suzuki Association of the Americas. While teaching at every level, he particularly enjoys working with children, hoping to pass the tradition, language, and love of classical music to newer generations.
